Having worked in different sectors and under/alongside different leaders, you get to learn so much. Having additionally set up and run my own business it leads me to conclude that the key areas to successful growth combine:

1) Purpose - why are we doing this and what positive change can we bring about?
2) Collaboration - it's so much more fun, rewarding and productive working as a team.
3) Commerciality - nothing grows without the right partnerships and deals in place
4) Strategic thinking - where do we want to be in 5 years?
5) Relationships - you have to get on with people. Always look to do the right thing.
